My third is in teeth but not in jaws
My whole is something that walks on all fours

My first is in kids and in clocks
My second is in alphabet but not in locks
My third is in work but not in rooms
My fourth is in classes but not in brooms
My fifth is in art but not in dyes
My sixth is in eat but not in pies
My seventh is in homework but not in pencil
My eighth is in paint and in pencil
My whole is a place where you can be a clown and not wear a frown.
