The Great Catch
One day I rode my horse down to the river. I saw someone jumping off the bridge. I rode my horse over onto the bridge when he jumped. He must have hit his head on a rock and he got knocked out.There was a little skinny goat track down to the river. I rode my horse down it and by that time he wasn't far from the Kawatahi waterfall. I galloped my horse down the river and I grabbed him by the arm but his arm slipped out of my hand and he went over.
I grabbed my lasso and lassoed his leg before he hit the rocks and I pulled him up. From that day he has called me his hero.
